THE TIPIS AT RILEY GREEN WEDDING HOGHTON LANCASHIRE
Congratulations to Lucy and Luke who married at The Tipis Riley Green in Houghton Lancashire! Luke was wearing a striking steely blue checkered three piece wedding suit and Lucy wearing an elegant and lacy Empire styled bridal gown. Luke being an engineer crafted plenty of time for a drink with his best man at the tipis bar prior to the ceremony. Lucy being a vet ensured both her beautiful dogs had invites to this gorgeous summer wedding. Guests starting arriving with wedding gifts of all shapes and sizes. The wedding day had a young, fresh and vibrant energy to it, everyone was in high spirits anticipating Lucy’s arrival. The primary colour of the wedding was sage green which is proving to be very popular this season. This perfectly matched couple were constantly making each other laugh during the intimate wedding ceremony and throughout their wedding day. The venue itself is an impressive wedding venue. The tipis at Riley Green create a dramatic backdrop to wedding photographs in general and the stormy clouds on this wedding day added some extra punch to the couples wedding photos! The tipis set in a natural countryside space, is perfect for couples who especially love the great outdoors. Lucy and Luke ironically both met originally working together at retail store GO Outdoors in Preston. Outside at the venue are some interesting photo opportunities with couples swings and an old rowing boat perfectly placed for some unique wedding photographs. Inside the tipis there’s a large rustic bar and two additional large open tents that accommodate the wedding breakfast and ceremony. As the sun started shining on these newlyweds the Wallings ice cream cart proved very popular. Lucy and Luke encouraged me to also get an ice cream which was greatly appreciated! Lucy and Luke loved their wedding photographs and there comments were straight to the point “Thankyou so much! Photos all look ace!” I thoroughly enjoyed photographing this young beautiful couple and getting to know them on their wedding day. I was impressed visiting the Tipis at Riley Green for a second time, a very unique wedding venue. What a great wedding this was to attend and photograph!
